The IVA 2012 Poster and Demo session will be held in the courtyard of Baskin School of Engineering on Wednesday, September 12th from 17:15-20:00. This is outside the auditorium where the main IVA presentation sessions will be held. Please plan to set up your poster between 15:00 and 17:00 on the 12th. You will be provided with a 30" x 40" poster board. Push pins will be provided. Please be sure to bring your completed poster to the designated poster area in the Engineering building courtyard at 17:00. The presentation location will be prepared by the UCSC staff and IVA volunteers beginning at 15:30 so you may choose an easel to place your board on as soon as they are set up. Demo presenters will be provided with a presentation table with electrical outlets. Wireless internet access is available at the session location. Presenters are urged to let the organizers know of any special requirements in terms of equipment or facilities as soon as possible. Demo presenters should note that the presentation area is outdoors and there will be a limited number of available electrical outlets.
The Poster/Demonstration Reception will begin at 17:15. Light refreshments will be served. A representative from the author team should remain by the poster board during the entire session to answer questions and clarify statements. The session should be used as an opportunity to probe deeper into the paper, and give attendees an opportunity to ask questions, so your presence is essential. If you would like to keep your poster material, please be sure to retrieve it promptly at 8:00 PM on Thursday night. Otherwise, it will be discarded.
