Shuttles and Parking

Shuttle Information:

Shuttles will pick up daily at three hotel locations beginning at 8:00 am, with the last pickup at approximately 9:30 am, about every 15-30 minutes. The three pickup locations will be at the Dream Inn, the Beach Street Inn, and the Ocean Pacific Lodge.

Return trip shuttles to hotels:

Wednesday afternoon shuttles will depart from Engineering 2/Jack Baskin Auditorium Circle at 6:45 pm with the last bus leaving at 8:45 pm.

Thursday afternoon shuttles will depart from Engineering 2/Jack Baskin Auditorium Circle at 5:30 pm with the last bus leaving at 6:30 pm.

Friday afternoon shuttles will depart from Engineering 2/Jack Baskin Auditorium Circle at 4:00 pm with the last bus leaving at 6:00 pm.


Parking Information:

Parking permits are required to park on campus. UCSC Transportation and Parking Services will be selling permits (1-3 days) in the Core West Parking Structure (directions below) on Wednesday, 9/12, from 8:00 am - 10:00 am, at $6.00/car/day. The Core Structure is free on Saturday. If visitors miss this 2 hour window, permits can be purchased at the Parking Kiosk at the base of campus, located on Bay Street right past High Street.

Public Transportation

From Downtown:

Start at the Santa Cruz Metro station in the heart of downtown (920 Pacific Avenue Santa Cruz, CA 95060)
Take any bus numbered 10 through 20, as any of these will take you to the campus. The fare one-way is $2.00. Get off at the "Science Hill" stop; the Jack Baskin Engineering Auditorium is clearly marked on the north side of the street.

In order to get back, take a bus where you were dropped off before (16, 10, 19, or 20) all the way back to the metro for another $2.00. The odd buses go one way, the even buses go the other, but Science Hill is roughly the midpoint of their route. You can cross the street and take which ever one comes first!

From the Hotels:

All of the hotels are directly on the route of the 19 bus, which goes between the campus and downtown. The fare one-way is $2.00, and it can easily be boarded from any of the three stops in the images below. Be sure to board on the side of the street indicated:
